Sophie the Subaru, which I've had since 1998, died last week. A victim of the crappy head gasket design of that era 2.5l DOHC engine. Sophie handled amazingly well in whatever weather Minnesota threw at us, and had a check engine light that burned continuously for nine years. She had just over 189,000 miles on her. She will be missed.

Some day Sophie and Big Red will be in Subaru heaven together. :( But that diesel is gonna rock!!
Noooo! The Car died, that sucks.
I hate it when that happens. My 2000 Durango died last year with a seized engine @ about 165k hard miles. Lots of boat and camper towing and many, many fun off-road miles.
